Week 9, Thing 23
I FINALLY MADE IT!!! I can't believe I am finally finished! I learned a lot in the past several weeks. I especially liked Flickr with all the different pictures there are to view and download, as you can see by my Redskins picture. I also liked LibraryThing, which makes it possible to organize my favorite books and the books I have read. I really enjoyed creating an avatar. I think Google Docs is one of the most useful tools I explored. It is a site I would use. I didn't like Wikis or Technorati. They were just too confusing. If this program was offered in the future I would not choose to participate. It was very stressful and I feel there was just not a lot of time to work on it. It was definitely an experience I won't forget.
Week 9, Thing 22
I explored Overdrive audiobooks. Even though I don't listen to audiobooks the site was very easy to use. I did explore some titles that interest me, but I would still rather read a book.
Week 9, Thing 21
I explored podcasts and decided on Podcast.net. I found a site called Rachel's Reviews and I added the RSS feed to my Bloglines account. I was not very impressed with the podcasts. The sites were so outdated.
Week 9, Thing 20
I explored YouTube and found it to be a site for entertainment. I did find this site with giraffes because I like them.

Week 8, Thing 19
The Web 2.0 Awards site that I liked was Biblio. I like that you can look for used and out-of-print books. This seems to be a very useful site. This site would come in handy when looking for a book that we can't find in our system.
Week 8, Thing 18
I explored Google Docs because I allready had an account with Google. I really like that I can create a document from any computer and then log on some where else and retrieve my document. You don't have to have a program on your computer to use it. This is actually one program that I would use.

Week 7, Thing 17
They say it's easy to do, but I needed help to do this exercise. With help, I created a login account on the Maryland Libraries Sandbox and added my blog to the Favorite Blogs page.
Week 7, Thing 16
I looked at some of the different libraries Wiki's. I liked the Book Lovers Wiki from the Princeton Public Library the best. It is kind of neat that anyone can just add or edit information on a wiki.

Week 6, Thing 15
I read some of the perspectives on Web 2.0. I liked the one "To better bibliographic services". It mentions the different ways library services should change. That is the one that interested me the most. It said there are ways to navigate items that interest you.
Week 6, Thing 14
Well, I've explored Technorati. I thought Boing Boing was definitely a very strange blog site. They said it was the most popular blog in the world. I also looked at Engadget. It's different. I don't think I would ever use Tehnorati.
